About Cordial

Cordial is a leading international developer and manufacturer of water-based industrial adhesives for both the paper and cardboard industry. The company serves a tier-1 customer base consisting of both international paper and packaging producers. From its production sites in Winschoten (NL), Shandong (CH) and Subang (ID) the company produces approximately 60,000 metric tonnes per year.

Cordial is the international market leader in the segment of (sustainable) powder adhesives based on dextrin (modified starch) or PVOH (polyvinyl alcohol). Powder adhesives are mixed with water only after transport has taken place, resulting in significant volume savings during transport. This makes powdered adhesives a sustainable alternative to liquid adhesives. Alongside powdered adhesives, Cordial also produces liquid adhesives based on PVAc (polyvinyl acetate), dextrin and PVOH.

Besides its production site, Cordial also has its own R&D department, responsible for developing new formulations, focusing among other things on the further roll-out of bio-based adhesives. With its proprietary recipes, high-quality (sustainable) products and a unique combination of commercial and technical knowledge within the company, Cordial has been serving its loyal group of international tier-1 paper and packaging producers for over 30 years.
